Our College Kabadi team secured first place in the Open Tournament conducted at Pudukottai and also in Sulur. Our College Kabadi team actively participated in the Inter-Collegiate Tournaments of Bharathiar University conducted at Amman Arts & Science, Erode and entered Semi-Finals. A.Hariharan of I B.Com secured Third Position in Inter-Collegiate Weight-Lifting Competition and Third Place in State-wise Weight-Lifting Competition.
In Power-Lifting District-wise Tournament, A.Hariharan has bagged the second place and a cash prize of Rs. 1000/- in Weight-Lifting Open Tournament at Sowripalayam. More than 30 Students participated in the Athletic Meet conducted at Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore and were placed in laudable positions. Our College Cricket team entered Semi-Finals in the Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament at SNMV College. We heartily Congratulate him!
Yoga
Yoga Day was celebrated with the assistance of Isha Yoga Centre. Fresher's Day accorded a warm welcome to the I years with the inspiring speech of D. Lakshmikanthan, Student Motivator Krishna Varatharaj kindled & ignited the young minds by his inspirational & motivation speech. Onam festival gave room for the students to exhibit their talents in Pookolam Competition and Pongal was celebrated with rustic gaiety.
A feather in the cap was the telecast of traditional dances and Pongal Celebrations in Polimer Channel that was commended by the public at large. A similar rendering of the traditional dance in Kovai Vizha at Brookfields was also jubilantly cheered and appreciated. Departmental activities like Inauguration, Seminars, Workshops and Career Guidance Programmes were organized with the usual gusto. The Department of Languages conducted Oratorical Competitions in association with Kovai Vasanthavasal Kavimandaram for School Students.
Paper Presentations
The students of final year B.Com and BBA have co-authored papers along with II & I years and successfully presented them at SNR, Dr. R.V, Hindustan, Rathinam & SNS Colleges.
A handful of students participated in KAVITHAIKALAM Competition conducted by Kovai Vasanthavasal Kavimandram and their Poetry has been published in their yearly Compilation issue.
Hats off to the budding Poets! A Poetical rendering that was recorded here was telecast in Polimer News TV which won great applause.
Intercollegiate Competitions
Our students also actively participated in Inter-Collegiate Competitions and have won prizes and cash prizes.
S.Kavipriya of III BCA won Fendi Replica Bags 3rd prize in Tamil Essay Competition held at Hindustan CAS. The Musician of our College B.Libenson of II BCA has won many laurels. He bagged a cash prize of Rs.1000/- at Nehru College of Arts & Science, Cash prize of Rs.600/- and 1st prize at Sree Replica Celine Handbags Narayana Guru College and Special performer prize of Rs.500/- at AJK College. Hats off to them!
